At Camelback, we believe that faith should always be moving forward. That's why we're so big on Next Steps.
Each person is on a unique journey in their spiritual walk, so it's hard for us to tell you what your Next Step is. However, if you will make the effort every day to walk just a little closer to Christ, you will not have to wonder what your Next Step might be.
It could be making a committment to read your Bible every day, make a phone call to mend a relationship, give up a bad habit, get BAPTIZED or take a class that will benefit you spiritually.
If you are new to Camelback, or have not yet taken our Camelback CLASSES that would be a great Next Step.
Whatever your Next Step may be, we encourage you to keep moving. |
The Christian life is about more than being forgiven, more even than making it to heaven. The heart of Christianity is about transformation - it's about a God who is able to take you from where you are now to all He knows you can be. Our part is to keep growing. At Camelback, we have some basic "Next Steps" that will keep you moving in the right direction.
Start - by attending weekend services at Camelback Community (Sundays,
Join us Sunday mornings in the Camelback Cafe. The Camelback Cafe is located in the 200 building on our campus.
We serve complimentary, delicious coffee and donuts before each of our 2 Sunday morning services. Service times are 9:00 and 10:30 AM.
Connect - with others through church membership and Water Baptism.
CLASS 101 - Discovering Camelback Community Church
Is a basic introduction to our church family and is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. The CLASS will give you a snapshot of where we've been, where we are now and where we're going. At the end of the CLASS there will be an opportunity for you to decide whether to complete the process by filling in your information on the Membership Application or to wait and decide at another time. Don't worry, you won't be pressured in any way, no matter which you choose. If you decide that Camelback is not where God is leading you, we'll be happy to help you find another church.
CLASS 102 - Fresh Start
Fresh Start is for those who have recently made a commitment or renewed their commitment to become a Christ Folllower. This four-week class will lay a solid foundation for your future spiritual growth.
Water Baptism
At Camelback, we value water baptism as a vital "Next Step" early in your Christian walk. Baptism is an outward profession of a decision to become a Christian. Jesus was baptized, He told others to be baptized and He us that we were to baptize others. Baptism is a declaration that you are identifying yourself as a follower of Jesus Christ and a part of the church body. |
Grow - By developing foundational spiritual habits and joining a Real Life Small Group
CLASS 201 - Developing Spiritual Habits
All Christians eventually ask the same questions: How can I get closer to God? How can I live more and more like Jesus? How can I grow in my faith? Where do I start? CLASS 201 is designed to answer these questions and help you develop habits that will keep you growing spiritually.
Real Life Small Groups
Real Life Small Groups are people who get together weekly in homes to make friends, share a snack or a meal, discuss the Bible and the Christian life, pray together and have lots of fun in the process. Small groups provide that close-knit group of friends that will cheer you through the good times, support you through the bad times and encourage you to keep growing in Christ. |
Serve - By using your God-given gifts and talents to bless others.
CLASS 301 - Discovering Your Spiritual SHAPE
When you became a Christian, God gave you salvation and the hope of eternity in heaven. He also gave you purpose and significance and the opportunity to serve others and make a real difference in someone's life. At Camelback, we believe that every member of our church has been given special gifts and abilities by God to serve others. This is what CLASS 301 is all about. During this class, you will learn how God can use your Spiritual Gifts, your Heart (passions), your Abilities, Personality and Experiences to help others in need. This is discovering your SHAPE for ministry. |
Reach - by helping others to connect with God.
CLASS 401 - Discovering Your Life Mission
God created you with a purpose - to help others connect with God in a real and personal way. One of the most effective tools you have for connecting people to God is sharing your personal story - how you came to know God. In CLASS 401, you'll learn to communicate that story to your neighborhood, workplace and around the world, using your own gifts, personality and story, you'll touch people only you can touch. Your life experiences can be a bridge to a friend or family member who is seeking Christ.
Camelback Gives Back - Reaching out to our community and to our world
We are surrounded people in need, both in our local community and in the world. As a church, we have been blessed and Camelback wants to give back. Therefore, we periodically take on a project to help meet the needs of those outside our church. As you participate in these giving opportunities, you will experience the satisfaction of making a difference in someone's life. |
